The Oscar Hammerstein Non-profit Organization is trying to purchase and preserve Oscar Hammerstein's home located in Doylestown, PA. They are looking to raise substantial funds to build a museum and education center on his Highland Farm property where he wrote all his Oscar, Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning musicals like Sound of Music Oklahoma, Carousel, The King and I, South Pacific and more.
Tell a story that creates awareness and converts awareness into donations on National level. The Oscar Hammerstein non-profit wants to raise enough money to preserve Oscar's Home and create a Museum and theater education center.
We conceived all the creative, starting with an Open Casting Call, looking for local children to play the Von Trapp kids from Sound of music. This process created a local buzz. Then we cast Broadway performers to come to the property and sing Oscar's hits in his living room at his piano. We created a call-to-action video that utilized the power and emotion from the songs we all know and love to motivate people to donate and share.
The non-profit has garnered endorsements from local dignitaries including; Honorary Board member, Mayor Strouse of Doylestown, the Bucks County Commissioners, State Senator Steve Santarsiero, Congressman Brian Fitpatrick and State Rep. Wendy Ullman. Individual donor contributions have steadily increased.
